Our Vision
Compassionate support until the last breath.

Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers
A not-for-profit organization that provides palliative
care services to the residents of Grimsby,
Beamsville, Smithville, Winona and their
communities within.

Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers are trained in
issues relating to palliative care and bring a
personal touch to the service through compassion
and support to the people we serve.

Our services are available
FREE of charge to
anyone living with terminal or life threatening
illness while at home, hospital or a long-term care
facility.  Examples of what the Volunteers have
done in the past include:  companionship by
providing someone to talk with, and doing simple
tasks such as reading, writing letters, organizing
family photos, or even finishing the knitting of a
sweater for a person too ill to finish on her own.

Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers listen to your
concerns, and with your consent, help find the
resources you need.  Our knowledge of “the
system” works as an invaluable aid to individuals
and families who may already have too much on
their mind.
