“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention”
- Oscar Wilde
Volunteers provide 1:1 non-medical support to our clients and their caregivers who are facing a life limiting or palliative illness.
Facilitators receive training and support to assist clients in our Hand Along the Way group support program. They join other facilitators to assist those who are grieving in group sessions in Vineland, Beamsville and Smithville.
Trained volunteers facilitate our legacy program with clients, allowing them to tell their life’s story for their friends and family.
Ambassador Volunteers are behind-the-scenes helpers. They assist with office-oriented tasks, fundraising, our legacy program, social events and marketing.
All volunteers complete the Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Volunteer Training Program (online) and pass a vulnerable sector Police Check.
Call the office at 289-566-9588 to learn how you can be a volunteer.
